Do male burms have spurs like boas ? My male has no spurs but
when i bought him they pop him and said he is a male.

First off, popping has nothing to do with the spurs, it's to see if the snake has hemipenes (sp) or not. If he does he's a male. Most all pythons, both sexes, have spurs.

so what does it mean if my burm doesn't have any spurs? He/she is 8 feet long and healthy, just have no idea what sex he/she is. I might have to change the name from "phil" to "phyllis". What do you think?

LOL, I guess your best bet would be to get him/her probed then.

an 8' male SHOULD have very noticeable spurs. Follow the above advice and get your snake probed if you really want to know.

yes they have spurs and when they popped him did you personally witness it and see one or both hemi-penes pop. Todd
