deejacdesigns Feb 08, 2005 03:54 PM

this is a perfect example of why farm rasied animals are the way to go..i got this animal from bush master for 250.00 and have never had so much as a bad shed..im my opinion,i have never seen a nicer looking snake, designer or not.i could call him designer and sell him for a couple thousand..if i was a crook.

Hey, you probably do have a pretty snake, go back and take another picture that represents it a little better. If that is your camera that did that to the pic, it's time for a new camera!

This is a captive bred and born in the USA yearling aru just changing to green. She has continued to gain a lot of white spotting and is very pretty...... and this pic is not photoshopped or altered in any way like yours is. Arus are beautiful in their own right, is there any reason you are trying to mislead people with yours?

Farmed is NOT the way to go, especially for a first chondro purchase unless the keeper is very experienced. Do you realize how many people buy farmed/import animals that when/if they start to have problems come running to the captive breeders looking for help to save their babies? Buy from someone you can get support from.... someone that is willing to take the time to help you out with problems should they arise.

You don't have to spend top dollar to get a well established cbb chondro baby of many locales.... you just have to be willing to accept a less than designer type snake. Most breeders of high end designers are also producing a locale type or two.

Now... go get a pic of your lovely snake that represents it more realisitically..... you can't fool the old timers... sorry.

I'm sure it is a nice chondro indeed but there are lots of "designer" chondros as well as non-$1500+ chondros made here in america that have a ton of white.

I have a High yellow critter that has been showing alot of white lately but the chondro that comes to mind is of Julian Garcias' "Big" an awesome in country bred chondro w/ a crap load of white

PS if it was a joke ......funny

OMG, Mike... will you please put me in your will? Stunning, just like Elvis!! I LOVE the white! My TM blotched baby is picking up a lot of white flowers but not nearly as HY. Very pretty!!

"PS if it was a joke ......funny "

LOL, I thought a little about that.... didn't catch the humor if it was meant to be a joke... if it was a joke, I'd sure be happy to hear that instead of believing someone really thought that about the designers!!

The cool thing about chondros is that there are SO many different choices, and it's hard to have just one!!

Julian Garcia Feb 09, 2005 09:35 PM

Man thats ONE HELL of a designer. Did it come with the paint brush tool as well ?

hehe, Thanks mike. Here are some photos of "Big" He's busy "gettin' bizzy" so no new photos of the little *ahem* BIG stud.

BTW Big is NOT an aru, though im sure he has some blood in there... some where in there.... some where?

here are some shots of some more photoshop skills (by yours truely of course )

crtoon83 Feb 10, 2005 06:51 PM

that first one is BEAUTIFUL!!! I guess i'm not really into the designer, but one like you pictured there would be my favorite choice of chondro to own, period!

(unless it was solid yellow as an adult vs green... but thats so far out of my feasable price range its not even funny, lol)

Your Photoshop/photo manip skills are completely INCREDIBLE! Do you have any formal art training? If you wouldn't have pointed out that the pics were Photoshopped, I wouldn't even have noticed.

Again, awesome!! I wouldn't mind seeing more work like that, just for kicks.

Thanks, glad you liked the photoshopped images. I did go to art school for awhile, but never had any photoshop training. I've just been tinkering with it for years.

Hi:

It sure does look like the pic has been 'doctored'. The only thing you appear to have in your favor is that your gamble paid off.

Of course you can buy imported chondros...and have them live. People do it all the time. But it comes with a risk, because for every one like yourself, who manage to keep one alive there are any number of people that end up burying theirs in their back yards.

Most of the time (these days) it's not a chondro being an import that ends up killing it, it's usually the way it's kept and transported prior to it being sold (in my opinion).

Here's a pic of a chondro that has not been 'doctored'. The chondro is not an import. It is a very nice, healthy, chondro that was born here in Pennsylvania. While it cost more than the $250.00 you paid for yours, the person who sold me this guy is not a crook, so in no way was I ripped off by buying it.
