Looks like one with some southern Eastern King in it for sure. Other than that who knows.

Keith,

Would you want a nice looking natural pic of her for your resource site?

YUP, SE. Georgia probably. But to keep everyone out of trouble I'll say N. Florida, LOL! Nice pics. . .

I've never witnessed first hand something like this. How long does it normally take for the whole constriction process? I studied the university study on the baby kings eating corns, and constrictions times varied from 30 minutes - something like 8 hours or more.

Do the other snakes ever "fight back" to a kingsnake? Snakes aren't really that smart and I wonder if they'd even know what to do.

The brown snake in that feeding was frozen for over half a year, therefore he couldn't really give much of a fight back lol.

The first feeding she had, I threw in a 7" northern brown snake, live. The king smelled the brown and frantically started poking her head around, the brown moved right into the king, and that was it. She grabbed the brown, wrapped around it immediately, threw about 10 coils around it. She started swallowing it a minute or two later, and was finished with the whole feeding process within 5 minutes.

Pretty quick compared to how long it takes a cali king to eat a corn snake of similar size. In that study at Harvard, the cali kings did not attempt to swallow the corn snakes until the corns were dead.

I've seen it take from 5 minutes (in a small kingsnake) up to 4 hours with a WC 4.5 foot Eastern attacking, killing and eventually eating a copperhead. The reason it took so long is because the copperhead fought back valiantly by repeatedly biting the Kingsnake. At one time the copperhead bit the Kingsnake in the eye! This caused the kingsnake to pull its' head away but NEVER did he release his coils. The copperhead died about 15 minutes later. The Kingsnake's eye turned red for about 3 hours (and I was worried), but then back to normal in about 6 hours. There were no other effects to the kingsnake such as scars or loss of vision. And to this day he's doing just fine. . . Amazing how fast he healed up though!
