Rack Questions...

jtmb85 Feb 08, 2005 09:25 PM

My ball python has been in a 30 gallon aquarium for about a year now. At night he's very active. He climbs onto his pot, he soaks, and he tries to push the top of the cage open. In the near future I'm going to be buying some morphs so Ive been considering a rack, which he will go in too. Do you think he'll like it better or do you think he'll miss his old cage? He's going from special dirt (the one made for snakes), a lot of room, a place to hide and soak, and a place to hide... to, a box, with newpaper, and a little water bowl. If anyone has any thoughts please post them.
Thanks,
James
P.S. The rack Im looking at is Ball Room Rack by Boaphile Plastics.

I think your picture answered your question. He's likeing the tight quarters of his hide in that huge tank...John

LOL yup, looks like he's not real cool on cameras either.

Personally - I think he'll adapt to whatever you put him into. The tank has familiarity to it (he's obviously comfortable enough to explore), but the rack will have comforably close quarters that balls need. Honestly tho, I doubt he'd miss his tank if you moved him. You cold leave him where he's at and then you'd have an extra tub for one more morph......
