I have read that too.

Its a negative trait just like "Bug Eye", "Kinked Tail", and any other "Ugly or unwelcomed" morphs.

There are good ones though, like Giants.

You should not breed a big head.

Actually I read that the bug eye, is a defect but doesn't effect hatchlings if bred. It is a lack of (don't hold me to this) vit. A in the mothers diet beofore laying the eggs. I have a very nice SHCTB and LVPA who have the traits and will be breeding this soon.

I think we are not talking about the same thing. On page 71 in The Leopard Gecko Manual by Philippe de Vosjoli, et al. it says "New morphs of leopard gecko will inevitably emerge. This is a representative of a big-headed race characterized by dark chin spotting". Then it goes on to show a photo by a man named Bill Love of the underside of a geckos head. As i am not Bill Love i wont attempt to show his photo, instead hopefully my photos will show up and you can see my example. As for it being a negative trait it is not spoken of that way in any of my books and shadow is an amazing animal who breeds like a champ and is just as well mannered as any leo.

I dont have the book you're all talking about, but 1) your gecko seems to have a normal sized head, and 2) I have several leos with dark spots under their chins and on their throats and they have normal sized heads, so I dont know what Bill Love was talking about, exactly, but I think your gecko is JUST FINE!!!! I love their chin spots, it makes them look more "wild" not so domesticated.
