Different cage designs...

Salamandar Feb 09, 2005 08:58 AM

I'm wanting to build a glass/screen vivarium for a pair-trio of large sized Uroplatus. It needs to be about 3-4 feet high, 2 feet deep and 3-4 feet long for minimum measurements. I've never built a cage before, but I don't see cages with cross vents available near me (and this will be cheaper). What will I need to start out with? Also, I've seen cages with glass doors that you use suction cups to open, this looks really pretty, but how functional is it? Any suggestions please reply or email SSalamandar@aol.com

Thanks

I don't have a ton of experience with building glass tanks. I'd suggest google.com for a search on DIY aquaria and then modify it to your gecko needs.

It's as functional as the door is. I saw that on this forum and attached suction cups to both sliding and hinged cage doors. Worked fine with my already properly functioning doors.
