Rubbermaids and Heating

BloodmanDan Feb 09, 2005 01:22 PM

I was curious on heating methods for rubbermaids or other sweatbox type enclosures. Will heating pads or tapes melt the plastic? Probably a silly question, but just wanted to be safe.

Thanks.

Being that we have probably 90% of our animals in rack systems, most of them are heated with flexwatt, heats them fine if you keep it at the right temp, for the racks to get a good temp in the back part of the rubbermaid we set the helix control to the flexwatt and set it at 94, which gives a good hotspot once it radiates that heat through the bottom of the rubbermaid, so far no meltings have occured, or fires for that matter.
