gecko wont eat

willis1234 Feb 09, 2005 06:58 PM

I just got a 1.2 leo pair and the male seems to be eating because all of his crickets are gone but the females wont eat. I have had them for about two weeks and was wondering if there is anything that will help them get their appetite back.

Were they a trio (housed together) from the person you purchased them from? If not, could be that the females are a little wearie of a male stalking around. If you have room, house the females and male seperately in 3 different containers. If not, house the two females together and the male seperate. Hope this helps!

have you checked their bellies? females will stop eating often rightr before laying. It wouldn't hurt to take him out until the girls adjust.
