I finally lost a snake

BOBAFETT Jul 06, 2003 11:22 PM

My gorgeous cal king female escaped. Im very sad and very frustrated. I really hope she didnt get outside or in my garage, both are sure to end in death or injury. All i can say is that i hope she eats the mice i leave out, then i will know if shes here. And now i know how it feels to lose a pet. So my heart goes out there even more to those with lost ones.

Bummer, I know. You might find it again, so keep a sharp eye. Plenty of people including me have found snakes after 6 months or more, with the snakes being perfectly healthy when found again. A friend of mine found his Cal king after 9 months in his backyard. I found a Sinaloan adult after about 6 or 7 months.

Hang in there! It may turn up where and when you least expect it!

I've lost my baby boy several times due to not securing the lid properly (bought a new lid so he can't get out anymore) and I keep finding him in places where he has a clear view of the room. Once in a bookshelf, once in a tube next to his cage (took that as a hint and put the tube in his cage) and once sticking his head of of my camera bag. EAch time I was sure he'd crawled right out the door down the hall and outside never to be seen again. I hope you find yours.

I had a female Everglades Ratsnake who escaped on me a few years ago. About 2 & 1/2 months later, I found her when I least expected it, while rearranging things in my garage. The funny thing was, is that after I found her, I noticed that there was a shed of hers hanging from the corner of the rafters in plain site.

Good luck to you!
