Did anyone bought the "No eyed" turtle?

wing Feb 09, 2005 10:36 PM

if so, how is it doing? I bought one and on the first day, it's very curious and moves a lot but on the second day it doesn't move much at all.

I'm guessing no one bought it? Or even interested?

I saw on the company website that they are not going to sell "stevie" but keep him as thier mascot. I must admit that there is some novelty to it, but not enough for me to purchase one.

Out of my own curiosity; is your no-eyes turtle as active as your other hatchlings? Mine are pretty excitable and swim ALOT. Any problems with feeding?

Actually I have a big problem with it when it comes to eating but I'm not woried much about it because it's winter and I have had turtles and other pets that don't eat during this season. Actually, several of my hatchlings now don't eat.

I'm keeping my no-eyed to a small enclosure because being blind will make it hard for it to get food and it can get scary.

Have you seen the No face turtle in [bleep] classified? I managed to look at the picture and it... well... it looks almost a miracle that it survived. The head is severed and you can see the fleshy insides. It only has a hole, which I think serves as a mouth. I got scared looking at it but it also amazed me. The turtle is around 4-5 inches so you'll know it'll survive.

I had even heard about the no face turtle. Sounds to freaky for me.

There are stranger things in reality than in fiction sometimes!

Yes, it really is freaky but kind of amazing as well. I was planning on purchasing it because the price was affordable but then when I saw the pic, it totally freaked me out but now that I think about it, I wish I have bought it just because it's amazing. Oh... I dunno... the turtle just looked way too freaky.

hi...i have a no-eyed turtle, almost 2 years old now...a friend bought him and then i wound up w/ him and we realized only later that he has no eye sockets (and no tail as well)...his name is shelldon and he's doing really well but he is hand-fed pellets, as he will not eat them once they become too soggy in the water; he gets hot dog and various plant matter and vegetables but those we mostly just leave on his basking island or put in the water and he "hunts" those and eats them...when they are very small tho i think you have to hand-feed them almost entirely...i'm happy to share any advice with you if you like

also, this no-face turtle? where on earth can i see a picture of it?

thanx

linda
