Is my ball abnormally small?

TaylorW Feb 10, 2005 08:53 AM

Hello,
I have a male ball python that I've had for two years now. I got him at a reptile show when he was seven months old (CBB, hatched July '02). I was feeding him hoppers when I got him at 18". He has only refused one meal and I'm now feeding him f/t small rats every other week (he doesn't want them much more often, and he's borderline fat anyway). He's grown very slowly in the last few months, shedding four times in the last year. He's less than three feet long, probably about 33". Is he abnormally small for a ball thats 2 1/2 years old?

Thanks,
Taylor W.

Well my ball is about the size of an average pecan and its 38 years old. If your ball is 33" long I'd say you need to see a doctor. Sorry couldn't resist.
