Here's a kinda blurry picture of my Sir Iggy I took with my new digital camera. I'll take more later. He looks small in this pic, but believe me, he's a 25lb, 6ft long monster!

Yep, he hasn't been in a cage in over 13 yrs. He used to only use his cage for a sleeping spot when he was 2 and 3, and we never kept him restrained in it. It just kinda gradually happened that he was never caged again. It's surprising still to this day that out of all my pets, my iguana is the best trained. My dog and 4 cats have the occasional "accident", but the iguana doesn't. And he doesn't destroy the house like the other pets. He just sits on his own recliner and only takes a walk to his food/water dish or his potty. In the summertime, we have a screen door with a door for the dog to get in and out of, and the iguana uses it too. And he's also the only pet I've ever owned that I don't have to worry about escaping. I do have to worry about nosey neighbors though, who still think he's an alligator.....
