I went to petco and seen about 8 baby leos in the same i think 15 gal tank. They all look so skinny maybe too skinny even though they are babies. I was going to buy this one that looked like a normal morph and lil piece of shed was on his head but neway is legs were very orange and his head was like light orange but everything else looked like normal morph any suggestions about him? Also do you think one of those babies have some kinda disease so all 8 are not worth buying any of them?

If they were all sick and looked to be malnurished then no, don't risk getting any. Some petcos have vets regularly visit and have clean cages and healthy herps but most don't. When I first got into leos I got two from a good petco. They have NEVER gotten sick or had anything wrong with them since. In fact the male grew to be a HUGE hi-yellow.

I got my temp albino from petco in december and he/she was skinny along with the rest. but now that he/she has its own cage and knows where the worm dish is he/she has grown alot and is healthy and happy. he/she even comes out when im sittin on the computer next to it and comes up to the glass and stars at me wondering where the worms in the dish went. lol

heres a pic of it now. He was Skinny and small when i got him in DECember

I fyou do decide to get a leo at petco, take a fecal sample to the vet immediately just in case they ahve parasites. I have gotten leo's with parasites from there before, its treatable (obviously) but its definately just worth while to catch it before you start to notice weight loss etc...

So how big was he/she when you got them in December?

I've got an empty 10 gallon tank and an extra light so I've been wanting to get one (plus kalypso doesnt eat all of her food before the worms die/change into the next metamorphisis).

I've also got an empty 20 gallon so if I want to get 2 that's also good because then since they're already together they could just stay that way.
