Is www.reptiledepot.com a good place to buy animals/products ??

Hey guys,

I was just searching on google, and I came across this site:

http://www.reptiledepot.com/frogs.html

The prices look very good, especially if you were to buy a real cheap item, add the 7$ shipping and the free week member trial...then put in a second order with everything you plan to buy (animals, products, etc) and you will get the member discount.

I've been looking for a good place to buy 2 and only 2 RETFs. Everywhere I have seen (including the classifieds on here) only sell 15 at a time for 10$. Well this site sells adult and baby RETF for 20$ with the member discount. Only bad thing is you have to play like 22$ i think for shipping with animals.

Just seeing if you guys know if this is a credible place and cheap enough to order from. Just want to see some opinions on this place.

Thanks.

Okay, I just bought a bunch of stuff from them. I think that ordering anything from them and giving your info through the order signs you up for the 1 week trial. Becuase after I set the order, I went back to the site and tried to sign up for the trial membership and it just kept taking me back to my order page. Very confusing. Anyway, they debited my account only what they said the prices of these things were, so I imagine I got membership prices for all the things I ordered. I think only if it says there are two different prices (club and non-member) by the item, it makes a difference. All I got was supplies though, so maybe they make most their money on animals. Though those seemed pretty damned cheap too. They are located just north of L.A. so I imagine they also make a lot selling to myriad pet stores in the area. Still waiting on my shipment though, so I can't tell you how quick/reliable they are yet.

Cool thx for posting.

Hey I read on their main page, if you get the trial membership you don't get the cheaper "member" shipping (saves you 6$ for animals and like 2$ on supplies).

After I saw that looked at the membership price and it is only 15$ a year! I am planning on buying 2 baby red eyes and maybe some other stuff. Right now for members only they have baby red eyes for $14.99. They don't offer the babies to non-members. They do offer Captive bread adult red eyes to non-members for $29.99, and to members for $19.99.

So I think if i order atlesat 2 red eyes, is hould go ahead and purchase the membership too so i get the member prices, especially since the baby red eyes (what i want) are only available to members. The membership you purchase is activated immedietely, so you would get membership prices right then.

But maybe those baby red eyes wont even be available when I'm ready to buy..but i've never seen them that cheap enless you buy in bulk (15 or more).

If anyone knows more feedback or experience on them I would love to hear about it as this looks like my best bet.

They have great feedback...but of course that is theirs to edit and select

But I won't be ready to buy animals for a long time. I'm planning this as a summer project. Too much school right now.
