This is a question that i am not sure about. I have an older female u. phantsticus. over the period of almost three years(the last two she bred every three months), she has been a very productive breeder and has given me 2 female offspring (not related), 2 male offspring,and three eggs that have yet to be dertimened.I am currently breedering her to a younger male that was captive hatched by me through a unrelated pair that unfourtunateley perished. Her oldest daughter I am breeding to a wild caught male that is the father to her half sister. My question is, at what age should i put a female into retirement or at how many breedings and babys do I stop breeding a female. I was thinking more along her age and the genetics of babys for future captive breedings.Any ideas and advice would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance.
