What a nice surprise...

I went into Petco to buy some crickets the other day and was looking around the fish department, where they also have their turtles. I saw a Turtle Starter Kit for sale, and instead of the usual 20gallon or even smaller joke of a starter kit they usually had there, they had a fully set up 75Gallon aquarium complete with a large filter, huge UVB light, basking lights, basking docks and tank cleaning equipment. I was impressed, its about time they start getting the right idea!

Im shocked that they dont try to get as much money out of people by trying to sell them as large a tank as possible. The consumers are mostly to blame though, because most people cant see spending over $100 for an animal that only costs $20

I have to say, that when I first got my hatchlings, I went to Petsmart and they were very knowledgable and helpful with everything I needed to get started.
