Just a quick update until I get new pics!
Gollum and Smegal, my normals, are now 20 and 22 grams in weight and 6 and 6 3/4 inches long! They grow so fast!
I originally purchased them at about 6 grams each and about 2 1/2 inches long on January 2nd! Do they normally grow this fast?
And I may be seeing the beginnings of noticable preanal glands on one
I hope I only see them on the one too! It'll be great to have a male and a female!
Feeding them crickets and mealies, gutloaded with Flukers Cricket grain-based powdered diet. They now have 2 hides (and a new cage) ... one of the hides is a humid hide. They are still on sand substrate, but I am keeping on eye on them and the moment they act funny, it'll be to a soaking bowl just in case ... but they seem to be doing fine - everything is coming out the back that goes in the front if you get my meaning.
They're letting me handle them more without freaking out and I'm soooo enamored with leos now! Gotta have more! Anyone want any cats so I can justify getting more leos -- "But Honey! I gave away all of the cats! I have more room and money for leos!!!"
Okay - off to do more hours at my vet tech preceptorship so I can finish out my degree.
