Is too much love a bad thing?

vampchick00 Feb 11, 2005 04:34 PM

Hi
If you have read any of my previous posts...good news! My little guy is a total pig! he will eat pretty much anything I offer - worms (silkies and wax) as many crix as he can fit in his gut (which is a lot...50 a day!) as well as some veggies all on his own! put to the point...(sorry, I tend to ramble on)

Yesterday (thursday) we had to put my dog of 12 years to sleep, and the loss has greatly affected my whole family...he was a much loved pet. Seeing as how Bacardi (my beardie) is the only pet in the house, hes getting a lot more than just my attention. He seems to love being out of his tank, and when hes out I make sure he doesn't cool off too much...but hes out of his tank just about as much as hes in it lately...so I was wondering...is this a bad thing? Should he only be taken out like once or twice a day? and if so, for how long? I just got him back on track health wise, so I don't want to mess it up by over attention.

Thanks!
Christina
ps...sorry, i can't seem to write short posts...

As long as there is nothing to cause stress to the lizard while he's out.. usual source is other pets but those are absent here.. yes, in a normal free roam.. he's perfectly fine.. however keep in mind they like to lick at things and after new years I actually had my female accidently ingest a bit of confetti.. I learned to clean real quickly after that

Sorry about your loss. I know of alot of people who hardly keep their dragons in their tank but keep them in a window or under lights. If you make sure he stays warm, why not.
