Hey guys I am new to this forum, I am usually on the Rhac forum. Some guy I met in my parking lot deceided to give me a snack in a bag. Well its a 2 foot retic! Now I have owned snakes before, but never one of this kind. I have owned differnt types of kingsnakes. I don't know if I am gonna keep this animal or not one cause its nastier then snot, but two I don't really have the space for him! But for now since I do have him, does anyone have any good advice for me on how to set him up. I have a four foot aquarium, I have spot lights for heat, I have heating pads. I just need to know the basics on how to take care of these guys. So if anyone could give me any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Like I said this guy came up to me in the parking lot and said Hey I heard you are the reptile guy here so take this. He handed me the bag and got in his car and left!

First off, you're looking for a hot spot of 88-90. Some people might say higher, but mine never use a hot spot above 90. On the cool end go for 78-80. These creatures will appreciate a nice level of humidity, so you might want give the cage a spray every other day or so.

If he's still being nasty, you might want to try to give him a hide box-hopefully he'll settle down ocne he feels more secure. Let us know what else you need
