Hello,everybody!i have an adult female Oxyrhopus guibei(false coral snake)that seems to have egg retention.She has a palpable egg near her vent from about 3 weeks,and the scales of the region are elevating.She's a strong,voracious female.What should I do?

First id like to tell you i have no expierience with snake birthing or breeding. I just have a thought. Does she have a suitable Nesting site? If not maybe she won't lay her eggs until she finds a good nest. Once again i don't know alot about this. Hope it helps!

Thank's,Doug!Actually,she has a suitable place to lay eggs,but it doesn't works.

You might consider aspirating the egg to get it out of her. There are instructions on how to do this several places on the web. Here's a link to get you started -
