Can anyone tell me where to find a complete snake sexing kit which includes Dr. Mark Seward's "Determining Sex in Snakes" video and a set of sexing probes?

I saw one of these a few months ago, and I can not find it since. And nobody seems to carry BOTH items. I'd really rather purchase them together. The shipping costs from two separate vendors would cost more than both items combined.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris have you tried the Dr. Mark Seward's site. Or Snakekeeper's site? I found mine on kingsnake.com Dr's site just poped up.

Yeah. Both of those sites sell the video, but they don't advertise any probe kits...at least none that I've seen. I'll look again.

Thanks. I really didn't wish to learn from a website, though. I'd rather actually see it done. That way, I can study all the subtle goings-on during the procedure. However, I spoke with someone who says that he learned from a website. He said it is really not as difficult as people think it is. (I guess fear plays a large part, huh?) I've ordered my probe kit, and I'll review your site again when I receive it. It'll probably take me a few days to work up the courage to attempt the probing (LOL), but I'm sure I can figure it out. If not...I'll buy the video.

The kit I've decided to order has four (4) sizes -- .020 / .035 / .062 / .096

I have an 1100 gram BP that I'd like to probe. Do kits usually come with guidelines/instructions? How will I know which size to use? Experience and practice?

The best way to learn (IMO) is to have someone show you how, walk you through your first couple of times. Is there someone with experience around you that can help you? Usually a herp vet will be happy to help. Also I have ordered the video, I haven't gotten it yet (should have it in a couple of days) but if you want to borrow it ---> you pay the postage!

Have someone with some knowledge about probing show you, That is the way I learned how to probe. It is not very hard once you get the hang of it. Also have them show you the poping technique. thanks David
