The consequences of the "Big Stick"

rearfang Feb 12, 2005 07:51 AM

President Bush in his recent actions as well as his Inaugural 'Crusader' speech, in which he openly threatened "Enemies of Freedom" with the imposing of American values-apparently has born fruit...

With North Korea (One of the most insane nations on the globe) openly and defiantly announcing it has Nuclear weapons for Quote; "Protection against Bush"...and Iran stating that they would suffer no interference from the the US in establishing their nuclear program...Bush has clearly upped the ante in the game of Nations. While there is no war in sight with either country yet...The situation has become very unstable and much of the US west coast could be vulnerable.

(Rodney-If your reading...I am sooo glad I do not live in California).

With his clumbsy inflamatory rhetoric, Bush needs to read again the words of his presidential predecessor Teddy Roosevelt:

WALK SOFTLY...and carry a big stick.

We're safer today than ever! Just remember that and everything will be fine...

Ignore the fact that our economic leverage has been severely diminished, terrorist attacks worldwide have risen, Al Queda is recruiting like crazy, our military's hands are tied, Iran has made it clear that they're pursuing nuclear capability (if they already don't have it), and the Asian peninsula has begun its nuclearization...

The meek shall inherit the earth!

*sigh*

There is no doubt that the peril of a islamic terrorist attack with nuclear weapons is increasing with every year.

Gradually I come to the conclusion that the world has been a safer place during the time of the cold war (at least the last 20 years of the cold war).

I wish he'd shut up myself. We keep trying to force "democracy" on the rest of the world and terrorism will grow beyond anything ANYONE can handle (it seems well on it's way).
