is there anything to feed a python besides mice?

kdp6376 Feb 12, 2005 04:57 PM

I was just wondering if there was anything to feed a ball python besides mice, gerbils and hamsters. Maybe a small feeder fish in the water bowl? Crickets? Anything? Thanks.

Stick with rodents. They won't eat fish, insects or birds. Rats come in different sizes.

Yeah... your BP needs to be feed either mice, rats, gerbils, etc. By eatting rodents, they receive all the nutrients they need. Trying to feed your BP fish will result in nutrient deficinies and weight loss.
