Well.....they are both Crotaphytus collaris collaris
I have "Auqua flames" = turqouis body, yellow head, and orange throat. (see pict)
Originaly from the Oklahoma, and texas area.
The "yellow heads" are from Utah, and have a yellow head, blue throat, and even their front "hands" are yellow.
These are just some of the differences.....Eve has both, I am sure she will give you a much better answer!

If you wanna get technical, they are both Crotaphytus collaris; many folks out there no longer recognize subspecies.

Plus, if you WERE to recognize subspecies, "yellowheads" of UT would be C. c. auriceps, (auriceps meaning, almost literally, "yellow (golden) head", and the aquaflames of OK/TX would be C. c. collaris.

Unintended smiley in that last post. I forgot how the codifier interprets the quotation-mark-followed-by-a-parenthesis as such. Daddy no likee. And silly me, I didn't think I needed to preview, 'cause I'm all that and a bag of chips.
