Turtles will eat anything, however mine for some reason have ignored their snail for about 9 months now. I bought an algae eater once and they ate him in minutes. I think the snail just doesn't catch their attention like a fish does. The snail is huge now, though he wasn't when I got him. He is larger than a golf ball now and I am thinking he may be around for awhile.

I always felt so bad for my snail..... he barely ever moved becasue everytime he did, the turtles would always try to eat him! In my frogs tank, he would come far out of his shell to slime around, but in the turtles tank, he barely ever even stuck his head out... most of the time he'd just slime along the sides and try to stay as far away from the turtles as possible. I ended up putting him back with the Frog bcause I felt so bad for him!

Greetings,

I always put 3 rosies in the tank. He'll eat two of them right away. The 3rd usally gets to hang around for a couple of weeks before becoming his next meal.

I cant have a snail in my tank because I have doctor turtle blocks in there which have sulfar which is poisonous for snails. Its a pity, I would liek to have one.
