Switching from Live to F/T.

Aradia Jul 07, 2003 09:07 AM

Hello all. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I just brought home a new Snow Corn last Saturday. It is doing great, very active. The set is up is great for it. He had been fed a small live pinky the Thrusday before I brought him home. What I was wanting to know is..I plan on trying to feed him Thursday. I do want to start give him f/t pinks, but should I go ahead and feed him a live one this time and wean him from live ones. I'm not sure about how to go about this. Any advice and tips is needed. Do you think it would be a good idea if I just tried a f/t first and if he refuses go on to live?

I would try the F/T first. I have had the best luck switching hatchlings over to F/T by putting the pinkie in with them an hour or so before sunset. Then try not to distrub them for a couple of hours.
