Got a new blue tongue skink...is this normal?

hunterjackson Feb 12, 2005 11:48 PM

So I got my new BTS today. He likes to chase his tail, and semi-bite it. Is this normal?

He has a great temperment. I am used to keeping snakes, so i am new to the world of skinks.

His tail has a couple of healing bites from another skink while mating. Do yall reccomend a neosporen mix?

I appreciate it!
Hunter

You can use neosporin (not with pain reliever, though) & it will help. You can even put a bandaid on it. He might be biting at it becuase he's having pain while it's healing, or it might be something like mites irritating him...
