i have a fire skink and i was wondering if sterile potting soil or bed-a-beast as substrate would be a good choice or is there somthing better for my skink?????? ive already tried exo-terra and its created problems for me

I like Eco Earth same as Bed a Beast but less expensive. Potting soil seems to get muddy when moistened but the Eco Earth less so. I've also had mushrooms and other fungi develop in "sterile" potting soil. I like to top dress the Eco Earth with terrarium/sphagnum moss. My fire skinks love to create burrows and will have little "windows" where the burrows are right next to the glass and they will look out and watch what is going on. Cute as can be.
