perlite/vermiculite question

lizardking7625 Feb 13, 2005 02:06 PM

Can I use perlite instead of vermiculite in my humid hide box? I've heard they're pretty much the same thing, but I just want to be sure before I use perlite.

I asked about using perlite in a lay box, and people pointed out that perlite is less likely to be safely passed, esp. b/c it is grainier and bigger than vermi. But if its for a humid hide, neither is really your best choice anyway.
