taking your pictures. I had mine set to the highest of 2272 (im using a coolpix4300) and they look fine when viewing them once they are on they are xfered over to the computer. I was going to host them on my webpage so i could should you guys some pictures.. but when creating the html for the pictures - when i load the pic its HUGE!!... Obviously i should use a smaller size .. which setting do you guys use??

I make my largest number 820. I have noticed on Kingsnake they resize it to around 600X400 when it is posted. On some boards to get the pic under 100kb make your largest number 640. Hope this helps. You can edit the size of your pic using a multitude of programs. Later

Hi,

Take your pics at the highest resolution you can. I have a coolpix 5700 and my highest resolution is on High 2560 X 1920. On Fine (where I do most of my shooting) it is 2560 X 1704. You want to take the pics at that big size and then resize them using photo software on your computer to the 820 X whatever or 640 X whatever. Most photo software programs will keep the ratio of the pic if you just type in the 820 or 640 figure. After resized you can easily upload them in emails or to websites. I agree. I always take my pics on the highest resolution setting, and resize them later (keeping the originals intact).
