Hello,
I have been thinking about makeing a shower stall cage, like the ones Mike from Mike Monitors. This is for my tree monitor by the way. I have looked around a bit for a shower stall, and I had no idea they were so expensive. Maybe I am not looking in the right places. So, I was thinking I could get a used one or something. I have a friend who owns this old run down house and it just happens to have a showerstall in it. The house is going to be demolished sooner or later, so, as long is it is okay with the owner, I thought I would take it. It is about 7 feet tall, by three feet wide, by three feet deep. It has about a six inch lip on the open side. I thought it would make it a little easier on me when installing a door. One problem that I can see is it is REALLY dirty. If I like cleaned it with bleach, would it be okay to use? My biggest problem is the shower stall is still attached to the walls. There is gobs of caulking around the edges. I think it is attached to the walls using liquid nails or the equivilant. Can I just use a utility knife around the edges and then what would I do? The water is turned off in the buliding, so I don't have to worry about that. Would the stall be attached to a drainage pipe, and if so, how would I detach it? Sorry if I am rambling. Ummm... Ok then, I can't think of anything else to say. Lodi
