whats wrong with this eye???

took pics of each eye. first one appears to have a retained eyecap but vet said it wasnt. vet said it may be an infection. second pic is of good eye. notice the difference? can anyone tell me what this may be? please no questions about tank sizes, humidity, or temps. he had this problem before i got him.

I had an Indigo snake that developed cloudy eyes...they became so compromised that they turned completely white, not just opaque. I finally took the snake to a herp vet who did a culture and identified a bacterial infection. I gave the snake a course of intravenous antibiotics (not too difficult with a large scaled snake) and he recovered completely after about 3 months.
