I was wondering earlier about jungle anery combos and thought this girl fit the potential result.. I hope they look like this.. That would be awesome.

I was going to breed this jungle to her next year but think it would be a better idea to put my ghost on her to see if any of the babies come out looking different like her. I still may put him with her if he's up to it but if not this next year the following year for sure.I wanted to focus the jungle more on my super nice poss. super salmon female but who knows? She is what i'm using for my anery jungle project and thats for sure! Anyways, here's a pic of my 04 jungle male I picked up from Jeremy Stone this year.

That will be fun! I can't wait to see the results!

That has got to be the cleanest looking Anery I have ever seen. Smokin' pattern too! What are you going to pair with her? Man put me on the list for some of those babies! Great shot. Andy Federico

Everytime you post pics of her, people go nuts (including myself) and ask over and over where she came from and you never answer. You have an amazing one-of-a-kind animal. Why not share her background? People wanna know.

Ruben14 Feb 15, 2005 12:57 AM

In the past I've e-mailed people telling them the story behind her genetics. I don't know how long you've been in this hobby but there's alot of Herpers out there that keep awesome animals but wish to stay anonymous to the public. Kinda like a silent partner or someone that keeps them just for the love of the animal and breeds not for financial gain but just to get an awesome baby out of the deal and then lots out the rest to a broker. The person I got this animal from no longer has the adults that produced her. The breeder told me she was one of three in a litter of I believe 15-18 animals. This was a normal looking anery x normal looking anery breeding. He then lent the father to his friend to breed to his anery female. The outcome of that was a litter of about the same size(give or take) with one that came out looking like her. I didn't get any baby pics but the guy said you couldn't miss these at birth. They stuck out like a sore thumb I guess. So, at this point I have know clue where the parents or the same looking siblings are. The guy I got her from started getting wierd towards then end when I was supposed to get one of her sisters. Last I heard from him was that he sold the parents to his friend and is keeping the last 2 for himself. Trust me, I tried and tried to get him to sell me the other one like he said he would but thats when he started getting wierd and not responding back to my e-mails. He told me he was holding on to what was left as a pet only and is now out of boas all together except for his "pets". So me giving his info out is pointless and I don't think he wants anyone else bothering him about them. I wasn't trying to "hide" any info like you said. I just don't have any to give out. It would be rude of me to give out someones info that wishes to be left alone about the subject. Hope this helps, atleast as far as her genetics go.

That's basically just the explanation I was hoping for the like last 3 times you posted pics of her. Haha. Sorry, didn't mean to "sound" pushy about it. Just wanted to know the story behind her. I had never heard it before. And I've just noticed that you haven't publicly responded before when people ask. Anyway, thanks. She's amazing. Wish I could find a female a tenth as nice as she is.

Ruben14 Feb 15, 2005 09:15 PM

I didn't take your post as pushy. I think sometimes missunderstandings and arguments get started on here simply cause someone takes a post the wrong way. It's hard to express emotion and sarcasm in written form and that leads people to sometimes think the other person is coming at them in the wrong way. Anyways, I did tell the genetics behind her one of the very first times I posted her but then it just turned into people asking for contact info for the breeder and things like that that I wasn't at the liberty to give out. So, no hard feelings and thanks for the compliments on her!
Take care,

RUBEN MICHEL

A friend of mine, whom I consider my boa guru, has one of the most magnificent collections of snakes that anyone could ask for. Ten years ago, when I only kept Torts and Lizards, he was breeding some very nice BCC... and I was like whateva. I would buy snakes from him, but only to retail in my shop. Now, I'm looking back on it wishing I would have kept some of what he produced as he doesn't breed reptiles anymore. But he still has the stock to produce the best BCC, drives me crazy. Meanwhile, I'm vieing to produce boas like his...

Later and thanks again for posting her-

PS- Put me on that already long list of folks that want an anery that looks like her.
