HTDesigns Feb 14, 2005 12:35 PM

Thanks for answering....

my pastel male is about 400 grams and is 7.5 months old. how much longer do you think before he would be ready to breed?

my female is 1700 grams.

Well it depends on when he starts producing sperm plugs and even then it must be viable sperm to successfully reproduce. A safe bet would be 800 grams or up even though their has been instances were smaller Ball Pythons have been fertile.

If he locks up with her, then he is ready.
It may be at 450 grams or it may be at 1000 grams, luck of the draw as to when. Definitely not before sperm plugs though.
