Just thought I'd let you all know...

shopunke Feb 14, 2005 03:35 PM

Beady (My tree frog) got very, very ill, and he broke his leg. He had lumps all over his body, the ulcers, covered with dead, slimey, unshed skin, lethargic, and hadn't eaten in well over a month. He broke his leg sometime last week and wasn't able to move.

I got some advice, lots of it. I knew the answer... I had to put him to sleep. I used toothache medicine and within a half hour, he passed away. I took one last happy photo to share with you all.

I hope this doesn't sound cruel, but when I lose an animal, I must have a pet to take its place, or else I will mourn and have all this love and no one to give it to. So now I'm the proud owner of a PacMan frog, five months old. I got him yesterday. His/her name is Sundae. (Sunday. Haha. Get it?)

I've researched a lot, I know what to expect in feedings, I'm hoping to have a long future with this guy.

Thanks for listening to my story.

Thanks, I appreciate the sympathy/empathy. Hehe.

Yeah, the people who advised me said that the break was very painful for him since he was squealing. So now he's up in frog heaven, kicking Froggy's butt for trying to mate with him!
