Mattias,
...The Campina Grande Rainbow Boa, Epicrates cenchria assisi is a smallish Rainbow Boa. They are from extreme eastern Brazil. Maximum size probably around 1.2 meters. They are patterned similar to the other Rainbow Boas but with some line pattern along the sides particularly towards the front of the body. The line pattern somewhat overtakes and replaces the spots and crescents on the sides. The color is brown. They keep the same pattern for their entire lives rather than changing like some other subspecies. I have a pair of them and they are good pets but do not tolerate large meals like the other subspecies. Mine were captive bred by Dr David Fabius in Uraguay.

I saw a pic a long time ago of an Assisi, I remember it being a lot darker ? Maybe I'm mistaken... This one looks more like an Alvarezi in coloration. Beautiful snake though. Looks rather heavy bodied ? Do you mean they just refuse to take large meals or is it bad for them in some sort of way if they do ? Have you ever got them to breed sucessfully ?

Regards, Mattias
