Well my WC female is on her way and should be here in the next 45 minutes. But I had a question. she is approximately 2 years old (800 grams) and was imported in september, the person who sold her to me said they got her in october and said that she'd been treated prior to them getting her, but didn't know specifics. They also said that she'd had ticks when they'd gotten her, but they'd gotten rid of those. She also hasn't eaten since she's been here. I know sounds like a lot of work, but I thought I needed a challenge and she is beautiful.
My question is: is there any way to make sure she doesn't have internal parasites w/out a fecal? It seems like it's been at least 6 months since she's eaten so I doubt she'll be poopin anytime soon. I was going to take her to a vet and have her checked out, but if the only way to tell is a fecal then I guess I'll have to wait and get her checked first. If she looks good and healthy should I take her anyway? Is there anything I can do in the mean time? I have some panacure in my snake first aid kit should I give her a little just in case. I am planning on keeping her well away from my other snakes for quite some time.
Any thoughts, recommendations, suggestions?
Thanks
