Anyone know what happened to kingsnakes rear-fanged forum?
Click on Venomous, they made it a sub-forum. Annoying as heck, eh? They did the same thing with Anacondas, making it a sub-forum of the Boa forum. And the red tailed boa fans and the Anaconda fans are quite a different group...
Yeah, it wasn't broke, so why must they "fix" it???

Something about forum software (or actually software in general) makes people want to use features, whether they're useful or not.
I briefly participated in a site that got only a small amount of traffic, but where they had subdivided their subject into about 60 different "forums". For example, they got maybe half a dozen lizard-related threads a week, yet they insisted on subdiving lizards into about 8 different forums. I guess it made the system operator feel like a big important guy that he was running 8 different lizard forums, but it was damned inconvenient to use.
When I pointed out the folly of this (politely, I thought) I was told to go away. So I did.
Yeah, complaints seem to have fallen on deaf ears here.
My favorite examples of this new forum subdivision is within the Rosy, Rubber, and Sandboa forum. Within this forum, there are now separate subforums for Rosy Boas, Rubber Boas, and Sandboas. So, what is the original parent forum for then?
There might have been a few forums where subdivision was necessary or useful, but I haven't found them yet.

It would be cool it they sub divide it to the point were you only need one post in each forum, for example:
General snakes:
Snakes what kind:
north America:
non striped:
Brown:
Post~ Dekay's!
What I think would be nice is if they got rid of most of the friggin subforums, returned stuff like anacondas and rear-fanged to where it belonged, and only had subforums for things like kingsnakes and boas, only the swiftest forums. Then they could have two or so subforums in those. "Pictures", (brag photos take a lot of forum space) and maybe something else. I like this place, but they need to keep things moving. There hasn't been a new post in the Scrub subforum for over 20 days!

I would venture to bet that most of the subforums they created have never been used. Nothing was broken. Not sure why they felt the need to fix it?

` Nah, not all of us Anaconda keepers are nuts. Some of us also like the smaller constrictors.

Stop the world-I want to get off!
LOL! I was just thinking of how many pictures and threads about morphs there are on the boa forum compared to the anaconda forum. Wasn't calling ya nuts.
