I live in Tasmania and next month I am travelling to Melbourne, which is interstate for the ones that don't know and I am bringing back a couple of axolotl. I will be coming back on the ferry which is a 10 hour trip, during this time what is the best way to keep them in the car? Will they be right in the bag that the petshop person puts them in? Are they very big breathers?? I am going to purchase a couple of polystyrene boxes to put the bags in for a bit more protection, just wondering how much air they need, once off the boat they will be right i can attend to them. Any help on travelling with them will be greatly appreciated.
