Ball won't eat mouse after eating hamster.

Chameleon996 Feb 15, 2005 05:37 PM

Okay I got a ball from the pet store that I work at, since I brought him home three weeks ago he has not eaten. The last thing he ate was a dwarf hamster at the store ( I had nothing to do with him being fed that). I checked his temps today and discovered they were to high so I lowered them. His warm end is 90 and the cool end is 78. Is this still to high? Could that be why he hasn't eaten or is because of the hamster?

He may just like the taste of hamster better. I'm still learning about my ball python but I've heard they are picky eaters, so I guess if he likes the taste of hamster perhaps you should try feeding him hamster again. The temps sound fine. Hot end should be between 90-95 and cool end 80-85. Hope this helps.
