what does it mean when a lizard digs?

both my al's dig A LOT...

they will lay in one spot and dig and dig. are they looking for food?

sometimes mine will dig and bury everything but the head. It's very cute. I think they just like the warmth. Some lizards are diggers..thats just they're thing.
