Is my gecko sick?

inconogindian Feb 15, 2005 10:38 PM

I recently got a house gecko from PetSmart. I've only had it for about a month now. It recently shed it's skin. But now it looks very pale. I haven't noticed any decline in it's activity or eating. Is it normal for it to be so pale? Or should I be worried about some kind of illness?

if things get bad or change go to a vet. But for now my experience with house geckos (though i dont know waht you have) is that the color shade can very alot darker usually means stressed or cold, lighter is a good thing most of the time. Hope this helps a bit.

sorry to hear that. unfortunately most if not all house geckos are wild caught, It could have been the stress a parasite or just old age. other than taking it to a vet for some necro work you can only geuss
