Shedding and color

photojoe Feb 15, 2005 10:55 PM

Does yours get really dull just before a shed? Is it like night and day, after they shed or is mine (since he has gotten VERY brown and dull) going to start coloring down after this next shed?

Thanks in advance for your reply

my beardie gets really dull before he sheds. sometimes he sheds and his skin is a light ywllowy colour and other times he stays a dull brown colour. does your beardie shed in three different sesions. my beardie shed his tail then head then body with days between. he is alwaysw multicoloured.

Yes - his tail is like a WEEK behind It's weird. The head is about the same time.

i worried about it at first but he was ok with it so i presumed it was normal. i have found with mine that giving him regular baths when he is about to shed his body (or whichever one takes ages) it seems to make it shed easier and in one piece rather than in little sections that he uses his logs to itch off.I had never had a Beardie before i bought my frank last november. ithere was loads of things i had to get used to and things that worried me like when he got hot he would gape. i never knew it was to cool down i paniced and came straight on here. he would eat his greens or drink water either.
