Blue Eyed Blonde or Lavender Albino?

jlassiter Feb 16, 2005 12:11 AM

Is this male striped calking a Blue eyed blonde or a lavender albino? It has a blue iris and red pupil. What is a lavender albino's eye colors? Are they all red?
Help me out here someone. (Kerby?)

There is definitely something different about that cal king. If it is a male, then I would breed it to 4 females.

1= a female just like it
2= a female that is albino
3= a female that lavender
4= a blue-eyed blonde

That should ID the recessive gene that is in that snake.

Kerby,
What color is the iris and pupil of a lavender?

It would also be hard to find a female just like it and a female blue eyed blonde since I believe this IS a blue eyed blonde.
I am breeding him to a Hypo female het for blue eyed blonde. She too has blue irisis but ruby pupils.

Clutch,
Where did you get your blue eyed blondes from?
Tim Gebhart at Vivid perhaps?
Beautiful pair you got there. Are you breeding them this year?

Same ground color. I hear the females show more yellow than males.
Lets see your male.
Also, what is the pupil and iris colors?

Eye colors are exactly what you are seeing. And yes these are from vivid. They are 01's so this will be there first year.

Great Jim,
Keep me posted on them. My male is also from Vivid but the female is not. I am interested what will be produced from them. If they are normal looking then they will still be 100% het for blue eyed blonde and hypo and possible het for what the female is het for. I was told she was het for Blue eyed blonde. So even the blue eyed blonde offspring will be 100% het for hypo.
