Terrible_one Feb 16, 2005 09:23 AM

Guys I was dianosed with crohns disease and cannt take of my leo anymore. I got her/he last may. She is pretty big now, nice fat tail with some orange at the top and defineltly yellow compared to a normal. Some days I can not even get out of bed. Im am only 15 so this is hard. The leo has been a true warrior over the past 2 months as i been doing my best to keep up with her and so has she. She seems perfectly healthy. I need to get rid of all the stuff I have with it to..

T-rex ICB dust
Calcium
Tank
night light
UV light
uth
water dish (2) 1 big 1 small
tree branch climbing thing
a black hide
2 thermometeres
and I can throw im some another bulb and whatever else I got gotta look at it all..

I am asking for $85 you get everything you need with tank and the reptile and everything in between..help me..or maybe I can see if my local pet store will take the reptile and I can sell everything else?

and I was diagnosed about two years ago. I know things seem like they will not improve but with the right treatment you will start to feel better soon. I lost 60 lbs before doctors figured out what was going on. Now I am able to live comfortably with only an occassional sick feeling. Stay positive and don't eliminate things from your life that you enjoy. I would keep the gecko. You can live a normal life with Crohn's but it will take a lot of patience and determination. In the meantime see if someone can help you with your gecko until your back to feeling better.

Good luck and try to stay positive and hold onto your dreams. A strong mind can overcome this obstacle in your life.

I agree, it seems tough right now, but things will get better. When they do, you'll miss your gecko!! Get your parents or a good friend to help you during this tough time. Perhaps arrange the room in a way that you can see your gecko while in bed so you can still enjoy him. I wish you the best of luck!!

im so sorry to hear your going through such a hard time. if your leo makes you happy and you really dont want to find her a new home. you should keep her and ask someone that lives with you to take care of her at times you cant. im sure they would be more then happy to help you if its something that makes you happy. best of luck. im in nj too. im in south jersey. what part are you from? - brandy

im in cumberland county millville area. its a drive but not that far really. i have no leos as of yet. but i have many other reptiles. im wanting to start a breeding project and thought leos would be a good start because i hear they are easy to breed and i dont want to start out with something hard. i have everything for them almost already set up. if you really want to find your leo a new home we may be able to work something out. but are you sure this is something you want to do? i know i love my animals very much and i would be heartbroken if i had to give one of them up. you can email me at imastupidduck@aol.com and we can talk about it if you like.
