Does this bother anyone else????

nathan23 Jul 07, 2003 01:19 PM

I go to the beardie classifieds multiple times everyday. And all the time people are posting dragons and claiming that they are something they appear to not be. Like the latest trend is people calling dragons with a little orange in them super oranges. And thats what KWE calls his orange line, I've seen parents and plenty of babies and Have never seen a dull animal from this line. I even have one myself. Or just because your animal has a little yellow or red in him does not make him a sandfire. Ive hatched out normal babies from normal adults that had red stripes going down their backs. And Im sure some of them really do have sanfires , super oranges , bloods or whatever. But a lot of them dont and just use the names to try and sell their dragons. Im not targeting any particular person because it happens all the time with all different people. And I'm sure I am not the only one who doesnt like it. And I know the people who origanly came up with these names cant be pleased. And there's nothing they can do about it unless the name is copywrited. Again I'm not trying to start something at all. I just wanted to see if this bothered anyone else. Sorry if it offended anyone.

peace,
nathan

I was on that same band wagon. But dragons do color up over time. But I do think that alot are misrepresented. I think that is why some people are soo mad about leucistic beardies. The bussines as a whole is full of crooks, which is the same for all bussines's.

I do agree that dragons do color up with age. Take Reikos dragon for an example. If youve seen baby pics it looked like a normal. But now Its one of the most beautiful dragons Ive ever seen. I know the breeder too and have talked to him about it before. He was shocked to see what it turned out to look like. I just am bothered by the misrepresented ones. It happens in every industry and in all types of animals too. I have always been bothered by it but I thought I would see if it was just me or if anyone else felt the same.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying when your looking for a true "blood red" dragon and there are tons of ads claiming they have blood reds for sale, and they are anything but! I have been told that true reds show color right out of the egg, but the ads that I have been checking out, the babies look normal to me! Christy
