I've been offered a kerosene heater for my reptile/feeder building. As anyone had experience (good or bad)? I'm concerned about possible fumes or residues that may affect my herps.

I would be a bit worried about the short and long term affects of the fumes. Electric heaters are far much better. If using fuel, make sure ventilation is premium.
Thanks for the input. We've decided to have the garage rewired to handle two shaker type window units, plus a ton of outlets. Just seems a lot safer! I'll keep the kerosene heater as a backup heat source.
We're increasing our collection of Bearded Dragons and Leopard Geckos as well as adding a breeding groups of Lobster Roaches, Crickets, and Mealworms as feeders. Reliable heating is critical!
