(bit long) My beardie is different does this sound normal.

i know you are supposed to only feed beardies crickets that are the size of the beardies head between his eyes but mine even since i got him at about 20cm long has always only eaten the largest crickets and ignored the little one. his colour changes all the time. he is eating more now he is older that when he was little (only eat about 4 crickets a day when he first came) people say when there skin is wrinkly it means they are dehydrated but i can't get him to drink from a bowl but i mist him up tp 4 times a day. he has drunk from a bowl once but it made his poo really runny. there can be up the two weeks between shedding his head, body and tail. some days he will eat about 15-20 crickets and some wax worms (as a treat) then others nothing. i constantly check the temperature and have checked against wat people have said on this forum. does this sound normal. i am trying to look after him the best i can i am just worried i would never forgive myself if he got ill cos of me.
all replies will be so much appreciated
Kay

thought i would put a couple of more recent pics together. top left was when he had just come from a nice bath and fallen asleep. bottom left is him on his hammock loves it up there.

Sounds normal to me.

Mine does that from time to time.

My reptiles are like that from time to time.

My leopard gecko will stop eating crickets and mealworms during winter and only eats if I put in waxworms.

She's 80 grams, when I put in the crix she kills them and leaves them be. Then come spring she starts eating them again.

Hades, my bearded, will sometimes eat only the big ones and leave the small ones be.
