Acrylic dart frog tanks

dm84 Jul 07, 2003 01:44 PM

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the quick responses. Due to overwhelming interest I have decided to take on the venture of producing custom made acrylic tanks for dart frogs and other reptiles. However since there is so much interest in them out there I do not want to get over my head with these things. Therefore this is my plan for their production. First, I will build some prototype tanks with different features within the next week or so. I will have pics on display for anyone who wants them. Next I will plant and use the tank for a pair of my frogs for a period of a month. Over this time I will be able to make sure that there are no kinks in the design. Sorry if this delays anyone's plans but I have to approach this venture slowly so I don't get burned. The last thing I want is for someone to loose a frog or a whole setup and have it be my fault, or worse run into a sue-happy lawyer who'd love to take me to court over their losses. The goal of this project is to make very convenient, space economical and safe tanks for dart froggers out there who are sick of having to deal with the hassles of a tank made for fish. For those of you out there who have learned the hard way with frogs getting out and drying up you know what I am talking about.

You should consider putting this in the classifieds. I'm sure there will be a lot of interest throughout the other forums as well.
