Atlanta laws

jtclark Feb 16, 2005 09:03 PM

Anybody have a link or info on reptile laws in Atlanta and/or Georgia. I found a link for GA but didn't know if Atlanta has any other regulations I should be aware of. Google wasn't much help so figured I would ask here. I already have a Grey Rat and Corn I may have to get rid of if my promotion comes through.

Georgias laws are crazy. In Georgia you can own native venomous without any permit. But you cannot own any native non venomous such as eastern kingsnakes or even corn snakes. A valid fishing license is needed to collect freshwater turtles. Alligator snapping turtles are protected by law in Georgia. I have tried to get the laws changed here so we can own native non veomous but have not been successful in doing so. If you know of any ways to get the laws changed I am all ears.
